Incorporated in June 2001, Vestyl Software was formed by a small group of motivated individuals with a long history of software development and research experience. StockFetcher is Vestyl Software's flagship technical analysis product. Designed to be the most complete stock screening solution available, StockFetcher provides a powerful interface for developing stock screens or "filters" including a natural-language based method for creating these filters. The goal of the "text-based" stock screen creation is to remove the technical hurdles encountered by users when creating their filters with other available applications.

StockFetcher also provides thousands of prebuilt filters that can be used as building blocks for creating more advanced screens. Through a process of "filter chaining", users are able to create an almost unlimited number of unique and powerful technical stock screens.

Once a user has the filter they are looking for, all of the matches are computed real-time using the latest daily stock data. The real-time filter is achieved by accessing the underlying processing engine developed by Vestyl Software. In addition, the resulting charts produced are based upon the individual components of the stock filter. The charting package available on StockFetcher was developed by Vestyl Software.
